Will you all be angry that this is such a SHORT post?

It has to be short cos short is me & me is short.

Gotta go count sheeps! Night!

Hello darlings!

Do you all notice that I am blogging more regularly now? I deserve praise for that right? right? right? Say yes lah, please! I updated Jolene's Story today and am now updating my personal blog, SO HARD-WORKING please.

The title of this blogpost is totally off-topic but I guess we just like to hash-tag everything nowadays due to the influence of twitter and Instagram. Am I not right?

I was just looking at my blog statistics and I realized something very very saddening. This personal blog of mine was started since 2008 and that's like 5?! FIVE?! 5?! ->  FIVE YEARS AGO. It has received like 6296 page views as of date while the blog about "Jolene's Story" started ONLY this year and already has 3171 page views as of today. #OKCAN

So you all like to read more about my dark secrets, tormented past than my current trying very hard to be successful life lah! #OKCAN I want to be as successful as PSY. Is that a very big dream? Never mind, I shall visualize it everyday. #TheSecret

Enough teasing, it does not matter. As long as I know all of you like really am supportive of me. I know all of you are super excited for my book to be out, so am I. But stay connected to this blog as well alright? Because I promise to update regularly. You all can use this post to threaten me if I ever stop blogging for months. PEACE!

Today marks the second last day of my job in my current company. Nevertheless, I am still going to work as a freelance salesperson so if you all know of anyone who wants to sign up broadband/mobile lines/cloud services/telephone lines for their company, please refer them to me. I need my RICEBOWL! Haha. Sounded really dramatic there.

I must update my camwhore photos here because I am afraid tha you all may forget how I look like. This was what I wore to the ST photoshoot that day and I thought I looked really really nice so I must share my happiness with all of you. Selfless me! *tongue in cheek* But say real one, I don't look very nice on normal days one you know. WHY? You ask me.

(1) I am super lazy.
(2) I am super lazy.
(3) I am a sloth.

My photo always makes me look sweet and cheerful and happy and joyous etc etc etc... But in real life, I am super lazy to make up + dress up. I am always afraid that I will bump into someone I know on my lazy days and I am practically always lazy. Okay lah, I will try and change and try to look better and take nicer photos for all of you. But can I bribe you all to click on my Nuffnang Ad? I have never cashed out any Nuffnang cheques before lor :( Blame myself for being such a lazy arse.

This was what I wore to the photoshoot and this is a super awkward pose because I was at a void deck and I was very SHY.

I find this photo of mine super artistic. Or maybe I just think too much. IN CHIOBU WE TRUST. So...... please TRUST me. Yours truly!

This very sweet boy of mine got me a gift but he was pretty upset because he bought the item online and yet the merchant sent the transaction receipt to me instead. He was damn furious I tell you! He is not someone who always throws me surprises but when he tries to put in a little effort, it was spoilt by the merchant. But nevertheless, I love the gift very much! I don't think I will bear to use it though, it is SO nice!

Thank you, James!

I met my girls yesterday for dinner at town and we never fail to snap self-shots because we just love our faces too much! Every photo is a memory for us.

                                                    DOH-REH-MEE

Food makes me happy - PART III (Finale)
Friday, August 24, 2012

This shall be my last post for the title : Food makes me happy.
I told you all already right. I sold my soul to food. Hahaha I love food this much. Really really really.
But of cause I will not stop posting about food, duh. Food is my life.

First Stop : Saizeriya Italian Restaurant

Apparently, I went to visit their webpage and they actually origin from Japan. O_o
Confused but nvm, whatever the country, good food is still good food. Am I right? They are a Japanese chain of Italian style restaurant.

Their escargots (read: cooked land snails) are awesome!!! Recently, there have been new facial products that have snail slime in them and are apparently good for the skin. Why do we always squeal when seeing snails?!! They seems to do so much good to us. Hahahahaha.

Seafood chowder soup. MEH. Just plain.

Asahi Clam Pasta. You wouldn't get drunk, don't worry but this is really nice with a lot of chilli flakes! Hahaha.
Salmon Pizza. I  didn't eat this but my friends said that they are amazingly good. Looks appetizing too huh?

I went to 2 of their branches before.

(1) 177 River Valley Road, (S) 179030 @ Liang Court
(2) City Square Mall

Both made me really happy because the food there was SOOOO affordable! Really. Go give it a try!

Second Stop : Bakerzin @ Tampines 1

Had this with Hui Qi, Amanda and Mumsy. Their Shrimp Pasta was good but the portion was kinda little. (FOR ME only, maybe)

It was a little pricey so it wouldn't be a place that I would frequent often. Maybe those like once in six month kind? I am an auntie at heart plus Hui Qi said she could cook the exact Aglio Olio for me so why not let her cook for me for free right!!!

Mushroom Soup & FREE flow of bread - The soup tasted weird, seriously. Maybe it was the cream or something but I'd never have it again. Budget Princesses, Hui Qi and I went to stock up their free flow of bread but in the end we only fell in love with one type. Atas bread is so hard to differentiate please and I don't even know what they are called. So if you want to know, head to Bakerzin tonight for dinner!

Udders with the clique the other day(I forgot which day la but whatever ok, it's not important). It was my first try that day. I went to the one located at :#01-11, MyVillage Mall, 1 Maju Ave, Singapore 556679.

I tried their cookies & cream + kit kat flavoured ice cream on a waffle. It was a sure satisfaction for anyone's sweet tooth! I so wanna try their "Mao Shan Wang durian" flavour next!

Western food is my bf's ultimate favourite food. He can have western for like all his meals everyday so as his very loyal girlfriend, I became a fan of western food as well and this western food outlet is one that you SHOULD visit.

HAPPY CHEF WESTERN FOOD. They currently have 2 branches.
(1) Blk 466 Crawford Lane, #01-12 Tai Hwa Eating HouseSingapore
(2) Blk 554 Ang Mo Kio Ave 10, #01-2040

First two photos are from Crawford Lane. This outlet is in a small coffeeshop and it is pretty crowded and stuffy here. The queue is crazy because the famous Tai Hwa Pork Noodle is here as well... (Yet to try) so the servers there were all so busy and they were shouting here and there. The place was not very comfortable and the food was a little different from the one at AMK! Serious, they had a difference somehow!

The below photos were of the times I dined at the one at the AMK outlet. I dined there up to 3 times already. It was better here because it was spacious over here and not as hot and stuffy as the one at Crawford Lane. They had a nicely designed menu for us to order from. And here, we were allowed to choose our side dishes to go with the main course =)
Their pork ribs are damn good and soft!
 SEE THEIR MENU! So nice!

Last 2 solo items here.

RONG CHENG BAH KUT TEH.

I have had this like maybe 6 times already and I am still loving it. This is one of the best Bah Kut Teh I have tried as compared with Ng Ah Sio and Klang Bah Kut Teh. I cannot deny that Ng Ah Sio's Bah Kut Teh is very tasteful but the one at Rong Cheng always makes me keep going back for more!

This is the ONLY photo I ever took at Rong Cheng's because everytime I am there, I just dig into my food immediately without remembering to snap a photo beforehand!

Address here : Rong Cheng Bak Kut Teh, Blk 26 Sin Ming Lane #01-114/117,Mid View City,Singapore 573971 (7am to 9pm daily) 96681412 Lionel Lim

You can see this other blogger's post for a more detailed version : HERE

LAST ITEM : JAVIER'S !

I think many of you should know of Javier's right? Hui Qi and Amanda introduced me to it. You just go there and order the type of chicken you want and than add on $5.90 for a salad. They give you a plate and you just pile up whatever you can find at their salad booth. It was super value for money I tell you.

You can locate them at B1 of Cineleisure. Just down the escalator on the left hand side. You wouldn't miss them!

Awwwwwwwww, we have come to the end of my Food Makes Me Happy sequel here. Did you enjoy yourself? Was I a good host?

Hahahahahahha, what have you learnt after 3 blogposts about food?

I LOVE FOOD, VERY MUCH. Period.

Why not you follow me on my Instagram to see more food pictures and also hear me blabber about being hungry on twitter?

FOOD makes me HAPPY - Part II
Wednesday, August 22, 2012

FINALLY!

I am back to talk about FOOD. Don't blame me that I have nothing else to talk about. My life will seemingly turn very interesting in time to come, just you wait =D

Let's just get straight to the point here.

I patronized "Porn's" in April with Hui Qi and it was a truly enjoyable experience. I went to the one located at : 28 Liang Seah Street  Singapore 189049

Hui Qi and I was crazily happy because Pornsak was there at the cashier! I remembered it was like a day or two after the Star Awards 2012 and he looked pretty forlorn but still he put his sweetest smile when thanking customers for eating at Porn's. Such a humble and handsome entertainer/host he is. I just adore him!

My FAVOURITE, Thai Iced Milk Tea.

Clear Tom Yam Soup is always the sex please!
 Egg omelette!!
Basil Minced Pork, stir-fried. This was the best. Spiciness at it's peak!

Overall, I had a very pleasant experience there because I got to see Pornsak in person! I had actually seen him before during a Channel U event but well, I hope to see him many many times again because he is just that nice. If you are craving for some Thai Food, visit Porn's now and head on to "Ji De Chi" dessert after that. They are located so near together. Eat till you explode.

Below! I went to "KungFu Paradise" located at Century Square. @#10-37 (Next to Qi Ji!)
Their pasta there was pretty good! I had their Laksa Vongole but I forgot what the other one was called already. You can give it a try! For price-wise, they range like Xin Wang HK Cafe.

And MUAHAHAHAHHAHAH, James and my own creation! One fine day, we got bored and went to the supermarket to cook pineapple fried rice, chawamushi and also Lao Ban- inspired Tau Huay!!!

It was such a perfect meal that I am drooling just thinking about it now!

Look at the silkiness of our "Lao Beh" beancurd!!! If you want to try, let me know and we could make them for you! Hahahaha, for real here ok.

Moving to this.

YONG TAU FOO!
These 2 stalls at Chinatown has mad queues everyday for their signature Yong Tau Foo!!! The one in green bowl and the one in orange bowl is from 2 different stalls.

I like the one at the in the orange bowl better but the queue is always extremely crazyyyy I tell you. They don't come with noodles like the one in the green bowl but their soup and ingredients just have this "you will want to eat them again" feeling. Trust me! Head down to Chinatown and make your pick. Try both!

Both stalls can be found at : People’s Park Centre.

I swear you wouldn't miss the stalls cos the queue is there, daily. From what I have googled, Koo Kee Yong Tau Foo has many branches in SG. They even opened a new branch near my place at Tampine St 21 but omg, the one there is not tasty at all. =/

NOW TO BUFFET TOWN!!!

I have been hearing raving reviews about this place so I bought Mum there for a Mother's Day meal. The reservation process was tedious and a rather bad experience though. I made a reservation via their online portal a week before I was heading there for a meal and when I called them a day before, they said there was no reservation under my name. We argued and argued and so many phone calls were made. They told me that their online portal may not have been working on the day I made my reservation but well, that wasn't my problem right? I won in the end and they still slotted me in for dinner that day. Oh come on, I did not bully my way in okay? It was Mother's Day! Where else could I make a reservation?

Find out more about them on their website here : Buffet Town

The international buffet was good though. Haha, I sell my soul to food. Appease me with food when you piss me off ok? It is super easy to pacify me. The best part is their OYSTERS! I cannot get enough of their fresh oysters I tell you. Gotta love it.

HOW CAN YOU RESIST YOU TELL ME?
 So juicy and succulent!
And Oh, they have chilli crab too! But not all of you will eat them because you do not want to dirty your hands!

I also patronized "EWF" at Holland Village for Eugene's birthday! I was supposed to reserve a slot at Timbre but they are always so packed so too bad, they do not get my business :D Haha, kidding. This place was good! Their service is super super super good I tell you. We were a big bunch, around 12-14 of us were there and we were pretty noisy plus indecisive when ordering but the staff serving us was super patient! Salute him!!

Their address is : 40 Lorong Mambong  Singapore 277695

You start by ordering your main course with the side dish that you want. And, they have many interesting flavours for their fries as well. I loved what I had and I will definitely return there!

BEST PART was their Nutella cake. Some love it, some don't, but it was really delicious to me!! I ordered a whole cake of this for Eugene's birthday cake as they only had that cake available at that time. Eugene didn't really liked chocolate but bopian leh. Hahah. I love this cake so when you head down there, you should totally try it!

Okay, we have come to the end of Part II. It's getting lengthy now so I will have to leave the rest of the photos for another post maybe in a day or two's time!

Come back for more ok!

Tweet me if you have any queries about the food I blogged about :)
